![]() ![]() so ill relay this info to my pal thats working on it, thanks eveyrone., jazzz If I read 's (AS200 Super 58 4w) and the book's diagrams right, they are: Would this help? The hot connection in your case is volume pot's hot input, see LP diagram. The red wire is then soldered to the hot connection of the guitars circuit. The solder connection should be covered with tape, so the connection does not touch any other part of the circuit. This can be done by first soldering the black and white wires together. The simplest way to wire the pickup is for the standart, series humbucking sound. (Black and red for one coil and white and green for the other) The color code of the 4 wire pickup is as follows: red, black, green and white. hopefully someone will pop in with the info, thanks much, jazzz ![]() Well, i looked at those links, i think i need to know exactly where the wires go for my particular situation ie, 2 humbuckers wired like les paul, i cant seem to find info for the blue red, white black wiring. with some stamps on the bottom, sp 58 and f, so im guessing its not vintage, but id like to get it up and running and go from there, thanks again, jazzzz Michael, thanks for the info, i will check into the links etc, this pick up, is a wax potted super 58. Once again, if you know how to read a wiring diagram, you should be able to determine which wires are connected for series or parallel HB, whichever you prefer. The 4-wire Super 58 is wired to a tri-sound with HB (parallel), single coil and HB (series). Your pickup wires may be the same except yellow = white. Go to this link and check out the 1995 AS200. If you need, he may be able to send you more pictures. ICW member Careycorson how has this guitar. If you look at the wiring, you may be able to determine which wires are connected when the push/pull pot is in humbucker mode. They show wiring for an AR3000 with Super 58's that have the same colored wires as your pickups. I know this isn't exactly the answer you are looking for, however, check out the pictures at the end of this thread: Ibanez Collectors World: STILL NEED HELP SUPER 58 WIRES!!Ĭool Contemporary Electrics (1980s and Later) »ĭoes anynoe know exactly where the wires go on a Super 58 pick up, neck position go? the wires are red, black, blue and white, running into some problems trying to wire up one super 58 and one duncan, no tri sound or anything else, thanks, jazzz ![]()
